This is a dual spindle dual turret lathe designed to do both ends of a part simultaneously by means of dual-spindle and dual-turret. By using a simultaneous operation of two spindles while machining parts with both turrets in one setup, you reduce the number of times a part must be held in place as compared to a single spindle lathe. This decrease in holding time results in reduced cycle times and defects when making complex geometries on parts. Therefore, this design has become preferred by factories where it is critical to produce precise, high volume products as quickly as possible.
